Storing Your Vehicle with Motor Storehouse
We are very proud of the comprehensive vehicle storage solutions available at our safe, secure and purpose built facility.
Our 7-step storage procedure, detailed below, is designed to ensure your vehicle remains in optimum condition whilst we look after it for you.
1. Vehicle exteriors are fully cleaned
To begin with, the vehicles are hand washed and air dried.
2. Vehicle is visually assessed
We then inspect the vehicle thoroughly, drawing up a schedule of condition. This includes a walk around video and images.
3. Battery testing
The vehicle battery is also checked and health noted.
4. Battery conditioning
Your battery is then connected to a battery conditioner.*
5. Tyre check
Tyre pressures and levels are checked and noted .
6. Interior safeguards
The interior is protected with seat covers and floor mats.
7. Leave it with us!
And finally, your vehicle is placed in an allocated bay and protected with a soft breathable cotton cover.

* The battery conditioner performs the following:
• Maintains Charge:
Keeps the battery at a specific charge level to prevent overcharging or draining.
• Reduces Sulfation:
Helps prevent the build up of sulphate compounds that reduce battery power.
• Reconditions the Battery:
Restores the battery's capacity by targeting lead-sulphur deposits.

- EVERYTHING IN STORAGE STANDARD, PLUS
- Vehicle stored in a dehumidified building which maintains an ideal level of humidity of 40% to 60% RH (relative humidity)
- Engine run up and exercise:
Engines are run up monthly to operating temperature and gauge readings recorded. Cars are driven a short distance on private land at our premises to exercise braking, transmission and hydraulic systems. Fluid levels are checked and noted. Tyre pressures are adjusted. - Vehicle Management:
Motor Storehouse will manage and arrange Servicing and MOT tests on your behalf. We will also advise and arrange routine and preventive maintenance.

What sort of paperwork is involved?
Once Motor Storehouse have been instructed we will provide a simple written Agreement / Instruction form to protect both parties. This sets out our services and terms of storage.
You will also be provided of a copy of the vehicle assessment conducted at the start of your vehicle's tenure at Motor Storehouse.

What kind of security is on site?
Security is given the utmost importance at Motor Storehouse. We are a family run business with the owner living on site. Our premises are protected by security gates and our buildings monitored by closed-circuit television and intruder alarms.

Is insurance included?
Yes, Motor Storehouse have full liability insurance cover and all vehicles are insured for fire and theft to the value of £100,000 per vehicle.
Additional cover can be arranged for more valuable vehicles.
If you are planning to use your vehicle on the road we strongly recommend that you maintain your own comprehensive insurance policy and notify your insurers of our location.

Do you require any notice for me to access the site?
Ideally we require 24 hours notice but, with the owner living on site we are usually able to accommodate collection and drop off at short notice. You are able to leave another vehicle with us or we are more than happy to collect you locally.
Do you offer a valeting service?
We offer an onsite valeting service in order to achieve an as-new look.
This service includes washing and waxing the bodywork, cleaning wheels and shuts, dressing exterior plastics and tyres, polishing bright work and cleaning the glass.
As this is a fully tailored service, please enquire regarding costs for your vehicle.
Do you offer transportation?
Motor Storehouse have their own car transporters both open and enclosed. We are able to collect and deliver your car to and from almost any location.
Transportation is usually charged at £1.75 per mile plus VAT
